In late November, for the past fifteen years Davey’s Street Frankston transforms into a magical Christmas Wonderland, where imagination is the destination; Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Lights. Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Lights is Frankston’s City most popular event, annually launching the festive holiday season.

Each year thousands of families; young or old, big and small gather on Davey Street to witness the innovative 100 year old Norfolk Pine tree lighting ceremony and fireworks display as well as joining in on lots of free and live entertainment and children’s activities which creates the perfect family, friendly atmosphere.

Year after year the event creates and builds a lifetime of lasting magical Christmas memories for those that travel near and far, which keeps a strong return visitation to the event, like wise with the reputation.

This year entertainment includes:

Main Stage – Presented by Travis Honda
Main Stage host’s a variety of local performers along with first class acts and interactive children's performance. Families gather, sing along and dance alongside side the stage to acoustic music and Christmas Carols. This years program includes

Come along and see The Smurfs 2 – Winter Wonderland
Free shows at 5:30pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm in the North Pole Childrens Activity Centre (Frankston Art Centre)

Santa’s Grand Arrival – Presented by Ash Marton Reality
Each year Santa Claus and friends travel around the main streets of Frankston before entering into the event site in a creative way at 5.20pm. Families lines the street waiting for his arrival. How will he arrive this year?

Tree Lighting Ceremony and Fireworks Display – EastLink
An amazing light and theatrical performance, followed by a fireworks display – this is not to be missed.

North Pole Children’s Activity Centre
A range of FREE, art, craft and children activities!

Santa’s House
Santa’s House is one of the most popular parts of the event where 1000’s of families line up ready to meet the main man himself – Santa! Families have the opportunity to meet Santa, have a photo with him, tell him what they would like for Christmas and receive a small gift, providing excitement for when he arrives on the 25th of December. This section of the event commences after Santa's Grand Arrival at 5.30pm and closes prior to the fireworks at 9.30pm.


Meet and Greet
‘Meet and Greet’ provides a up close and personal opportunity for families to meet and greet Despicable Me2 Minions, have their photo taken with plenty of cuddles and high fives for all. 5.00pm-8.30pm

Festival Food Court – Presented by Reddy Roasts Frankston
Frankston’s Christmas Festival of Lights host a variety of cuisines in the festival food court, where festival goers bring their appetite indulging on delicious food and beverages. This year it will have hot roast beef rolls, ice cream, coffee, wraps, corn, slushies, hamburgers, Mexican, twisto’s and more.

Christmas Market Stalls
Back by popular demand Christmas market stall holders will have a presence selling a range of candles, cup cakes, children’s gifts, Santa sacks and more!

Rides and Amusements
A range of ride and amusements for all.
